Sand Hollow

Comment on this post! No Comments »

We went on our first camping trip this year. The first trip of the year is always a much needed one. After being stuck in the house all winter it is so nice to get out! We went to Sand Hollow– down by St. George. Did a bit of 4-wheeling. There were so many places to ride. It was a lot of fun! I am terrible though, I didn’t get one picture of any of us on the 4-wheelers! Not even one of the kids in those cute helmets! Darn it! The kids absolutely love riding the 4-wheelers and playing the the sand. They could do that for days without getting bored and I didn’t mind because it was so much cleaner than dirt! The sand just brushed right off…ahh! We also drove into St. George and did a little shopping at the outlets. It was lots of fun and I got some cute spring clothes for the kids. Yay!

Minneapolis and the Great Mississippi

I’ve never been to Minneapolis before this week.  I had a chance to come out here for training for work.  It was a good time getting to know my new (and existing) co-workers.  What a world we live in where you often can work closely with people for years and never actually meet them.  The face-to-face interactions are good for getting to know the people you work with.

It’s a girl!

Comment on this post! 3 Comments »

We found out on January 6th that we are having another girl! Rob was right again! One day I’ll learn to just listen to him. Nah! I really had no idea what it was going to be but because I was sick with Corbin, not Jayci and I was sick again this time which made me think maybe it was a boy. I guess each pregnancy is just totally different. Jayci really wanted a little sister. She kept saying it was a girl and I would try to tell her it could very possibly be a boy-hoping she wouldn’t be disappointed if it was-and she would say…yeah but it’s a girl! I guess she has insight like her daddy! Or she just got lucky! She is so very excited and I don’t think Corbin really gets it yet! I am very excited too. May just can’t come soon enough!

Some of these 3D pictures are kinda freaky. I love my baby and I’m sure she will be a doll…but look at the smile on the first one. Kinda creepy, huh?!

Christmas

We had a lot of Christmas parties this year. I guess it wasn’t anymore than usual but it seemed like a lot! We had a party every night the week of Christmas–Monday until Saturday. And two before that. It was fun but very busy! We love this time of year. Love seeing all of our family and getting together.

First we had the Bridges family party. We had a yummy dinner, played lots of games and spent some good time together! We were lazy and didn’t even get the camera out! So no pictures. I need to see if I can snatch some from somebody.

Next, I was invited to a neighborhood girls night out. It was a lot of fun! It’s always so nice to get out with just the girls for a night! It was an ugly sweater party…which by the way are really hard to find! We ate lots of yummy food all night, had a white elephant gift exchange, and we went to Wal-Mart and gathered some things for a family in need and dropped it off. It was a nice uplifting night and it was very nice to get to know more of the girls in the neighborhood!

Monday was the Grange family party. We had a yummy dinner (see a trend here? by Saturday I think I gained 20 lbs.) and had a little piñata fun. This got old when we were all in high school but now that we all have kids it is fun again! After that we had the annual dodge ball game. It gets a little competitive and rough sometimes. We have been known to have broken bones and people in the ER Christmas Eve. It is lots of fun though!

Tuesday was my Mom’s Christmas party. You can tell by Jayci’s face she LOVED everything she got. Grandma Margo tends to spoil the kids a little bit!

Wednesday was the Eggett family Party. It seems as if my kids have overcome their fear of Santa Clause. Jayci is a little iffy still but Corbin is ok with the big ole man. Having a Grandpa that is one of Santa’s helpers makes that much easier. After seeing him so much this year they finally got used to him! The only problem is now Corbin thinks all Santa’s are his Grandpa. I think that’s the only reason this one got a hug!

Christmas Morning – We had a hard time keeping the kids out of their new kitchen to open up any other presents! At least they liked that one. I guess we could have just got that and they would have been happy.

Family Pictures

We took some new family pictures! I think they turned out pretty darn cute if I do say so myself. Kids are so hard to get to cooperate. So are husbands sometimes. Haha! Jk babe. Love you! Jayci’s smile doesn’t look very natural anymore and Corbin was a calamity. For some reason he was tripping on everything. He dirtied up his pants and ended up with a bloody nose. Sounds like fun, huh?! Can’t wait ’til next time! Here are just a few of my favorites.

Halloween

Comment on this post! No Comments »

Oops! I guess I never posted pictures of my kids in their Halloween costumes. I am a slacker! Maybe it’s because I didn’t love Halloween this year. I didn’t want to deal with costumes. Don’t get me wrong, I think dressing up is fun! But the cost is what drives me crazy! I’m not creative enough to come up with something simple and cheap. Thank goodness I have such awesome friends and family that bailed me out at the last minute. Jayci was a princess and Corbin was a duck hunter.

Punkin’ Carving

Comment on this post! 1 Comment »

Last week we got together for our second annual Punkin’ Carving party.  If you don’t remember last year’s pumpkins, you can see them here.

The pumpkin choices in the field this year were a little bit slim, but we managed to find enough good ones. Thanks to the McFarland’s for the pumpkins. We let the kids paint their pumpkins. Corbin and Jayci really went to town.  I think Corbin’s has so many layers of paint that it weighs an extra couple pounds.

Once we got the kids to bed, we got down to business ourselves.

Cami didn’t carve this year. She was too busy making me some roasted pumpkin seeds. She just loves digging through the punkin’ guts to find the seeds.

Here are the entries from this year.  I’ll start with mine, of course.  It doesn’t quite top my Frankenbaby or dragon from last year, but I was short on time (got called to work for a bit), so I had to simplify a bit this year.

Brett found an interestingly shaped pumpkin and got creative with it.

Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Comment on this post! No Comments »

Jayci’s preschool went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch. Siblings were welcome to come so it made for a fun morning for me and the kids. Here are just a couple of pictures.

Both of the kids loved driving this tractor. They felt so big.

dscn0470 dscn0472

Jayci absolutely loved this hay maze. She insisted on taking her brother in there with her one time, then found it wasn’t too fun to wait for him and ditched him. How sweet!

dscn0474 dscn0475

Getting ready to pick a pumpkin and the final result. Good thing neither of them are looking at me anymore.
