Christmas
February 15th, 2010We had a lot of Christmas parties this year. I guess it wasn’t anymore than usual but it seemed like a lot! We had a party every night the week of Christmas–Monday until Saturday. And two before that. It was fun but very busy! We love this time of year. Love seeing all of our family and getting together.
First we had the Bridges family party. We had a yummy dinner, played lots of games and spent some good time together! We were lazy and didn’t even get the camera out! So no pictures. I need to see if I can snatch some from somebody.
Next, I was invited to a neighborhood girls night out. It was a lot of fun! It’s always so nice to get out with just the girls for a night! It was an ugly sweater party…which by the way are really hard to find! We ate lots of yummy food all night, had a white elephant gift exchange, and we went to Wal-Mart and gathered some things for a family in need and dropped it off. It was a nice uplifting night and it was very nice to get to know more of the girls in the neighborhood!
Monday was the Grange family party. We had a yummy dinner (see a trend here? by Saturday I think I gained 20 lbs.) and had a little piñata fun. This got old when we were all in high school but now that we all have kids it is fun again! After that we had the annual dodge ball game. It gets a little competitive and rough sometimes. We have been known to have broken bones and people in the ER Christmas Eve. It is lots of fun though!
Tuesday was my Mom’s Christmas party. You can tell by Jayci’s face she LOVED everything she got. Grandma Margo tends to spoil the kids a little bit!
Wednesday was the Eggett family Party. It seems as if my kids have overcome their fear of Santa Clause. Jayci is a little iffy still but Corbin is ok with the big ole man. Having a Grandpa that is one of Santa’s helpers makes that much easier. After seeing him so much this year they finally got used to him! The only problem is now Corbin thinks all Santa’s are his Grandpa. I think that’s the only reason this one got a hug!
Thursday was my Dad’s Christmas party.
Opening Christmas Eve Jammies and Cookies for Santa.
Christmas Morning – We had a hard time keeping the kids out of their new kitchen to open up any other presents! At least they liked that one. I guess we could have just got that and they would have been happy.
Friday – Christmas Day – We spent at Rob’s parents.
Saturday was the Hales family party. We did a photo scavenger hunt. I haven’t done something like this since I was a teenager. It was lots of fun and pretty entertaining! We got to see everyone’s pictures when they got back and decide who won! My team won!
1. Entire team in group hug
2. Entire team making funny faces
3. Entire team jumping in the air (everyone must be off ground)
4. Entire team with spoons hanging off noses (without touching spoons)

We had a hard time with this one… for some reason nobody needed gas! So Brian decided to entertain us while we waited.
After the scavenger hunt Santa and Mrs. Clause came and brought the kids more presents!
