Island Park – 4th of July
Comment on this post! 2 Comments »Holy cow! This summer has been so busy! It’s hard to decide where to start when you have so much updating to do! We were able to spend 10 days at my dad’s cabin in Island Park. It was a blast! We love spending time there. It is SO much fun we would spend the whole summer up there if we could! When we first got there in the end of June, the water was still pretty cold! It took a lot of courage to get in that water. But it was much warmer by the time we went home. Also the pollen this year was crazy! Everything had a yellow coating on it. When a storm would roll in you could see a big ball of yellow. So glad none of us had bad allergies.
The pretty lake

4th of July – We made a float for the Bills Island Parade. It turned out pretty cute. The kids loved riding on it and throwing candy to all of the people. They also had a boat parade we didn’t participate in but we did follow all of them over to the fireworks and got to watch the fireworks over the lake from the boat. That was so fun! I’ve never watched fireworks like that and I thought it was awesome! The kids also sold cotton candy after the parade. Jayci made $12. The kids said she was selling the most because people would buy from her just because she was cute. I would say I’d have to agree with that! (Thanks Kylie for letting me steal that pic from your blog. Hope you don’t mind!)
Here are some pictures of the most popular toy of the trip. The Sky Ski. Rob was one of the few who could actually get up on this thing, but since we got home we heard a lot of people are now learining. I hear it’s pretty fun, but I can’t figure out how to get up on the darn thing. The first picture is my dad. He can jump this thing crazy high. He is trying to figure out how to back flip too. I’ll post some video of that. The next two pictures are Rob. He is just learning how to jump it and doing pretty well!
Here is a picture of me wakeboarding. Not that I love a picture of me in a swimming suit but I need some proof that I actually can do it! Now I just need to get into shape so I can go for longer than 5 seconds before I’m totally exhausted. The second picture is of my little brother Colby. He is getting pretty good at wakeboarding. I’m proud of him!
Here are a few pictures of my dad in all his glory. He is such a nerd. He gave all of us crap for not getting in that cold water but guess who has sweats on under that dry suit? It was funny because when he would jump in the water it was full of air and this is what he would look like.
Grandma Brenda always lets the kids help her cook. They love it! Oh how I wish I had her patience. This time Kaycee finally got some pictures for me. They made chocolate chip cookies. I never knew you could mold them into things but it seemed to work. They made a spider, a butterfly, and a flower. Cute huh?
Jayci and Corbin love jumping on this trampoline. I thought it was cute to see my brother Bridger playing with Corbin. If you can get past the snotty nose you can see on Corbin’s face just how much he is loving it. Too cute!
Corbin loves the water. Mostly just the sprinklers and little water toys though. He wasn’t a big fan of that cold lake.
Ok, I’ll post the video of the Sky Ski tomorrow. I’m tired and my video camera isn’t cooperating.
