It’s finally warm enough to start camping again!

Or so we thought…

We headed down to Nephi for a weekend getaway. The second morning we were there we woke up to snow! It snowed all day long. We probably got about 4-5 inches. Brrr! It was fun though! Rob’s family likes to go down there on the first weekend of the month because there is a restaurant down there–Salt Creek Steakhouse–that has a Prime Rib and Seafood buffet they all love! Only served on the first Friday and Saturday of the month. Worth the drive right? If you like seafood anyway. Well, ’tis the beginning of many camping trips to come!

We took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese. This was one of my favorite places growing up. Probably mostly because they serve pizza, which we all know is my weakness. I went there almost every year for my birthday until they closed in Ogden. So can you imagine how excited I was when they opened a new one in Layton? Yeah, I was excited. So, one day I finally talked Rob into taking the kids. Why did that finally happen on a Saturday?! I have no idea. Don ‘t go on a Saturday. They are packed! It wasn’t nearly as exciting as I remembered it being. Maybe I’m getting old. Yikes, scary thought! Anyway, the kids had a lot of fun! Jayci recognizes the building everytime we pass it on the freeway too. Not a day goes by that she doesn’t ask if we can go back! Oh yeah, this was before our trip to Hawaii (shows you how behind I am on blogging) so while we were in Hawaii Rob still had these pictures on his camera. I thought I was doing pretty good being away from my kids until Rob started flipping through these pictures and showed them to me. Bring on the tears! Holy cow they are cute and I missed them terribly! Why is it that mothers always just want a break from their kids and then the minute they get one all they want is to be with their kids?! We are a special breed that’s for sure!
