Santa and the kids

The kids got a chance to sit on Santa’s lap already this year. We weren’t sure how Corbin was going to do with Santa, especially considering how her sister reacted last year.  He seemed to do pretty good, though…

Until he looked up to see who was holding him.

We were hoping that Jayci would understand things a little better this year, too.  Last year, she was absolutely terrified of Santa. Even the sound of bells would send her into a panic.

We even told her about Santa’s Helpers and that her grandpa was one of Santa’s Helpers during Christmas, because Santa was too busy to all the things that Santa has to do each year.

I still don’t think she gets it…

She even watched Grandpa (Santa’s Helper) take off the beard and wig, and she still wouldn’t go near him for quite a while that night.

Pictures of the kids playing in the leaves

A few days ago, Cami got out my little camera (just my point and shoot) and took some way cute pictures of the kids playing in the leaves out front. Well, at least that’s what she told me.

When she was done, she put the camera on the bumper of the car so she could keep playing with the kids.

A couple hours later, I went to Walmart for something. A little while after I got back, Cami came downstairs and asked me if I knew where the camera was, because she thinks she left it on the bumper. We look around briefly and didn’t see anything, so I went for a drive to retrace my path.

I got out on to the main road and saw the case in front of me. So I pulled over and jumped out, relieved to have found it. Of course, upon jumping out, I saw debris strewn everywhere. The camera must have been hit repeatedly by a number of cars. It was a mangled mess. I grabbed a few of the bigger pieces and stuffed them in the case. I looked around for the memory card, but had no luck finding it.

As I pulled into the garage, Cami came out and I showed her the case and she got all excited. Then I turned the case upside-down and dumped out the pieces and she was crushed. She felt so bad for ruining my camera. I found it somewhat amusing, however. It sucks, but it was kinda funny. Anyway, here’s a picture to give you an idea what things looked like.

Splish Splash I Was Takin’ A Bath!

Last week my sister Stephanie got to stay at her in-law’s condo up at the Canyon’s in Park City. So she invited all of us up one day to go swimming and hang out with them. It was so much fun! My kids love swimming and it’s been a while since we have been because of the cold weather and all. The pool was an indoor/outdoor pool. Half of it was inside and half of it was outside. With just a little space under a big window you could swim under to get outside. That little space let in a lot more cold air than you would think though. The kids had fun but soon were all shivering and their lips turning purple so we decided it was probably time to get out and go have dinner. The kids must not have been as cold as they looked because not one of them was ok with leaving. We promised them all a warm bath and some pizza and that was enough to get them out of the pool. So, when we got back to the condo we bathed all of the kids. 3- 1 year olds in one tub and 2- 3 year olds and 1- 2 year old in the other. That is a handful! The kids had fun with the jetted tubs though. They thought it was pretty cool. We ordered pizza and hung out for a while. It was lots of fun! Thanks again Steph for another fun filled day!
