Playing Catch Up

With all of this camping we’ve been doing I haven’t hardly had any time to blog so I will play a little bit…no, a lot… of catch up while I am actually home for the next couple of weeks. Let’s see…while we were at the family reunion I got a call from my sister Nikki. She told me they were moving to New Jersey that week and they were stopping by Utah on their way (because Utah is totally on the way to New Jersey when you are coming from Texas). They wanted to put a few things in storage here because hopefully they will someday end up living here again (We can all only hope!!!) So, we hurried home –we got home about 30 minutes before they got here. I was not prepared to have people staying at my house so I apologize to the Whitehead family for not being a very good hostess. Also, we were only going to be home for 3 days before we left for our next 10-day adventure so I had a lot of unpacking, laundry and re-packing to do! We managed to fit it all in and spend some great quality time with Nikki and her family. I miss having her around so much so it is great anytime we get to see them! My husband probably wishes they would move back here too so my phone bill would be a little less. Nikki and I can spend hours upon hours on the phone with each other every single day! While Nikki was here we all took our kids up to my mom’s house to swim. The kids had so much fun. My Grandma “J” also went. She had a lot of fun squirting all of the kids with the water guns. It was SO much fun! Here are some cute pictures…
After 3 busy, busy days we were off to Island Park to spend some time at my Dad’s cabin. We had so much fun there too! Lots of boating, swimming, 4-wheeling, and just good relaxing time. Rob really got into the sky ski this year. He’s finally figured it out and can ride that thing forever! I’m not kidding…he rode it for 45 minutes straight! My kids loved the boat and that was good. Jayci didn’t spend much time in the water because it was too cold for her. I think her very favorite thing was to drive the awesome old school golf cart around or to jump on the trampoline in the water. It was tons of fun and the weather up there was just beautiful! Here are some pictures of that trip…
After our trip to Island Park we did a few little things for the 24th of July. We went to the parade and fireworks in Bountiful and then we had Stephanie and Bryce over and we did a few little fireworks of our own at our house.
After that we were off to Flaming Gorge. I don’t have the pictures from that yet so I will do some more catching up later!
